About Me: My aim is to utilize my abilities growing up on a ranch and in the medical field to better care for animals! I have a diverse background with bunnies, hamsters, ferrets, guinea pigs, fish, lizards, birds (such as chickens, ducks and parakeets), horses, and other animals besides just dogs and cats. I also helped many of birthing processes for dogs, cats, horses and cattle, including caring for newborns. My mother was rasied in the Florence area, so I've spent a lot of time in the area growing up. I am orginally from a cattle ranch in Sheridan, Wyoming and also spent about 4 years pet sitting there. My most recent stint of 6 years was spent in Salt Lake City for college and I had some clients in Salt Lake for almost the entire 6 years. If desired I have some references who do not use this website and I would be willing to give you their contact info. I also have my driver's license with my own personal transportation available. My car is an SUV with AWD and I did grow up in the hills of Wyoming so most difficult winter roads won't deter me. I am currently looking for new opportunities to have more animals in my life as my current living situation does not allow for them. I can be very flexible as I grew up with an array of animals around all of the time and I miss their company and unique personalities. Service Abilities: I am comfortable caring for sick animals, providing long walks, and overnight care. My current living situation does not allow for me to board pets at my own home, but I am happy to travel to check in your furry or scaley friends. When it comes to prior history, I have experience as a pet sitter in multiple different areas. I have given medications to all sorts of animals, including horses, dogs, cats, cattle, chickens, and even a goat in a diaper. I have almost mastered giving pets medications and know quite a few tips and tricks. I’ve dealt with both diabetic dogs and cats to pets with chronic pain and a lot inbetween. My ranching background taught me a lot about driving tractors, interacting with cattle, horses, goats, sheep and pigs, especially in the cold. I've mucked out countless stalls, pitched hay, fed with round and little square bales and had to break ice for almost 18 winters. I also have experience interning with a veternarian in my home town, so I know dog, cat and calf CPR. I have taken care of hospice / end of life care of many different kinds of animals so if you have older furry friends I hope to be able to help make you as comfortable as possible being away from them. I absolutely love animals and am looking forward to helping in any way I can!
