Treating your dog as if it were my own is the most important aspect of my role as your dog's caregiver. I've grown up with dogs my whole life, mainly Golden Retrievers, and I even convinced my parents to get another dog, a Shih Tzu mix as a companion for our Golden when I was 10! Seeing the relationship that blossomed between our 2 dogs and the happiness it has provided my family with convinced me that dogs are considered a part of the family. I currently have a 5-year-old Yellow Labrador Retriever, Ozzie, who is a "DQ" from the Lion's Foundation of Canada Dog Guides that ignited my passion for Service Dogs. I currently help train Service Dogs for COPE Service Dogs and teach in their Canines in the Classroom Program, have worked at Park9 Dog Resort, volunteered with Toronto Animal Services and frequently dog sit for families who have multiple dogs in the home. This provides me with great experience in understanding multiple canine behaviours. Being able to understand a dogs body language provides you with more information that meets the eye. It helps solidify the human-animal bond. I understand that different dogs have different needs that need to be met, and am willing to provide your dog with any special needs they require. Being dedicated to your dog's positive health care is very important to me. This could mean short walks, long walks or even runs (!!!), all of which I am more than happy to provide. I cannot wait to meet your 4-legged friend and give them all the love in the world that they deserve. ** A percentage of my profits will be donated to COPE Service Dogs.
