Description: Hi, my name is Julie. I am searching for a pet care provider job in Milford, Connecticut. I'm hoping to utilize my skill as a pet care provider. I will work part or full-time as required. I grew up surrounded by dogs as my mother breeds Boxers (as well as Smooth Fox Terriers in past years). Ever since I was a small child I have developed many skills in regards to raising, training, and caring for both med/large and smaller dogs. I am also experienced and skilled in the intricacies of properly whelping and raising puppies. I've additionally had the pleasure of growing up showing dogs within The American Kennel Club. My mother has bred and shown champion show dogs as far back as I can remember, which is how I spent a large chunk of my life and upbringing. We've whelped, owned, raised, and (most importantly) loved as many as 12 dogs in my house at once. I've never lived with any less than 4 or 5. Lastly, I spent the other portion of my upbringing caring for and loving my grandmother's 2 horses and 1 pony, so I do have horse maintenance knowledge as well. Description of Skills: pet feeding. facilitating exercise. Playing and cuddling. Patience with a multitude of breeds and temperaments. Cleaning up animal messes both big and small. Properly caring for sick or injured pets as I've experienced many mild to severe complications with many of my own pets. Basic training. Puppy whelping. Pet sitting.
