Hello pet families, my name is Natalie! I am a 22 year-old college student looking for a part-time job opportunity in Kankakee/Iroquois county area(s). My rate range is $30 to $50/day depending on location, number of animals, and responsibilities! Description of Skills: I recently received my associate's degree in Veterinary Technology. I have experience with maintaining pet health, facilitating exercise, and kennel work. I have owned dogs my entire life and adopted my first cat in 2019. I have had experience as a pet sitter within the past 5 years for family and friends. I worked full-time as a Kennel Technician from Sept. 2018 to Jan. 2021. My job was to ensure a nice & clean environment for the animals at our shelter. Although my main focus is dogs and cats, I have cared for many animals. For the bird group, I've had to handle chickens, peacocks, & pigeons. Some other miscellaneous animals I've had limited experience with include: ferrets, pigs, bunnies, and squirrels. When it comes to my preference and what I excel in, it is hands down, domesticated dogs & cats. However, I am a speedy learner, and with some directions and the right equipment, I can still ensure the best care possible! My greatest accomplishments come by making each different animal, regardless of the situation and species, as happy and healthy as I possibly can.
