Pet Sitter in Toronto, Ontario

Hi! My name is Hailey. I am 17 years old, turning 18 in December of 2017. I am an upcoming student at Queens University in Kingston, Ontario, this September. As long as I can remember I have had the deepest love and respect for animals. I have had a lot of experience with all types of animals due to my mother sharing this same attraction. My first animal was a cat rescue kitten when I was 6 years old. I probably was not doing too much to help take care of this kitten at this age but it had prepped my understanding for the future. This cat ended up being extremely aggressive, I think because he was declawed. This was a huge regret for my family and I, however it has taught me A LOT about how to deal with less friendly animals, read animal body language and signals, as well as bond with more reserved animals. Around this time I also had a pet hamster. When I moved out with my mom, we decided to take another stray in and a few years later took another one in. These are still my current cats who are extremely well cared for and loved. Most recently, I got a Rottweiler puppy. Although he is very cute, he is also a lot more difficult than expected. The puppy training transition has taught me so much patience and appreciation for having a well trained dog. Now he is older and bigger but much easier to manage. I would love to work with animals in the future as well, although I am not sure I could handle the sad parts of being a veterinarian.
