Hi! I’m Rory! I just moved to Simi Valley and am looking to make some new animal friends and offer my services and help to busy pet parents in the area! I am an experienced animal caregiver with 10 years of volunteer experience with my local rescues where I fostered and rehabilitated animals who needed extra TLC. I’ve grown up with cats and dogs as integral parts of my life, so I know how important your best pal is to you and I want to help you find peace of mind when you need a little extra help. I’ve fostered roughly 52 cats with different rescues and taken pride in nurturing them back to health to find their forever homes. I would definitely say cats are my expertise, and I am experienced with grooming and medication dosing, and an expert in compassionate care. Since dogs have been harder to foster, as I’ve lived in apartments, my numbers may seem less impressive, but I grew up with dogs and have always had dogs in my life! I’m comfortable playing with dogs, which can be intimidating for some people, and I love walking them and singing their favourite songs. I’m even a pro at sneaking meds into their snacks. I also have experience caring for reptiles, fish, and rodents! I am happy to help you with your basic care needs, however please discuss any advanced care routines (such as medication dosing, grooming) with me prior to booking. I want to make sure I’m the right fit for you and your pets needs! During my time working with animals, I have developed the skills needed to support those looking for additional care during their pets journey towards the “Rainbow Bridge”. End of Life care is incredibly difficult to manage by yourself, but working with so many sick animals has helped me develop a unique set of skills to assist you with this journey if you need the support. I’ve cared for runts (born with genetic deficiencies that severe impact their quality of life), terminally ill (ex. cancer), and those simply too sick to make it. It’s a heart breaking process to go through, and we are both going to cry a lot, but you won’t be alone. I’m here to support you and your best friend as you take this journey. Warning: I will cry.
