Pet Sitter in Sterling Heights, Michigan

Hi. I love animals of all kinds! I've had pets ALL my life. As far back as I can remember as a child, we had a talking parakeet. Then as we grew old enough for some responsibility, we got goldfish that we were allowed to take care of (feeding, changing water in bowl, etc.) A hamster became our next little buddy. And then, over time, we first adopted a little black kitten from a litter our neighbor's cat had. And years later my dad came home with a beautiful bluepoint Siamese cat that had been running around his workplace for FOUR days, with nobody able to catch him. Dad's gentle persuasion allowed him to coax the hungry, thirsty, terrified cat close enough to give it some food and drink. Since no one had posted a "lost" notice, he quickly became the newest member of our family. As a matter of fact, I believe ALL pets should be considered as true members of the family. Once on my own, I acquired a 65 gallon tank, and filled it with various tropical fish. A bit later I adopted a stray cat that unknowingly crawled under the hood of my sister's car; and she drove for 4 miles before hearing a very frightened ME...OWWWWW!! Petrified, she pulled into a gas station where Animal Control was called. When they pulled him out from under her hood, here was this very dirty, but unhurt adult orange and white cat. She convinced me to take him until she could post notices around the neighborhood. And in 3 days he had groomed himself so clean, and proved himself to be quite a character, acting more like a dog than a cat. I was SO happy when no one claimed him! Some time after I brought home the most adorable Jack Russell mix puppy, and she became "little sister". They were the cutest pair! Years on down the line I rescued the cutest gray kitten, and in time decided to give her a companion. I ended up rescuing a year old adult female cat that had been fostered a very long time, no one wanting her just because the tip of one of her ears had been snipped! I was VERY happy to have her. I was a volunteer for PetSmart's in-store adoption group for 2 1/2 years cleaning kitty cages 2 days a week (clean litter, food, water). I kept my friend's dog company for a few hours twice a week when she worked. I love spending time with animals, and would love to get to know yours!
