Description of Skills: I have been house sitting as a side job for several different clients for about 3 years now. Staying anywhere from a few days to a couple weeks with one or multiple dogs. Until the recent virus outbreak (Which I am 100% healthy!)(March 2020) I had worked at a canine boarding/training/daycare facility called K9TAILSHAKERS located in Frankfort. • Started as an events coordinator. Requirements finding things online to make event days for dogs (I.e. pool days, football theme days, pawprint days). To make different homemade treats for dogs, and also helped to set up for events for people and their dogs at public events. • Work in the kennel area for about a year. Requirements handling numerous breeds and temperaments of dogs from social to non. Also some that were stranger nervous. • Worked with people aggressive dogs, but it has been very rare when I have dealt with extreme human aggression. I administered feedings and potty rounds. • Would also administer certain medications such as insulin or oral medications. I would also be responsible for the cleaning and maintaining sterilization of the kennels. Also to open or close the facility for the working hours. • Promoted to running the daycare program that they offered for about 3 years. Requirements to handle numerous dogs of breed and temperament. • evaluate to see if dogs were social, and if so I would place them within groupings of dogs that would fit best with their size, personalities, and play style. • be in charge of monitoring / 30 dogs at times. • maintain the sterilization and cleanliness of the rest area crates and the daycare flooring daily.
