Hi my name is Mellisa or Missy for short! I'm the proud mother of a beautiful 6 year old girl, and two rescue cats. I've been in love with animals for as long as I can remember. For years through high school into college I apprenticed with my Aunt who is a certified dog trainer with many trophies to show for it. We trained beautiful German Shepards, sometimes old K-9 Unit dogs, for agility competitions. In college at UMass Lowell I volunteered at the Lowell Humane Society for some time. After that I worked as a Pack Leader and Certified Animal Care Specialist at a Veternarian Hospital that also had a Doggy Daycare that I helped run. There I was taught the basics of grooming and pack behavior.  In the hospital I gained extra training in Animal Science. From there I worked at a Rescue Center for awhile, aiding in the recovery of the dogs who had gone through trauma across seas and helping them find homes. After an accident I went to work at a bank for awhile. At the end of the day most of us want to do what we love and what we are best at. For me that is animals. Big or small.
