Growing up in a small Greek village, I was blessed to be surrounded by animals from both sides of my family. I loved playing and communicating with the farm animals and even the wild ones that sometimes stopped by our home. When I finished high school and I went to the University, I wanted a side job so I did what I knew best ; I petsat my landlord's dogs. As she was very satisfied with the connection I had with her dogs, she eventually spoke about me to her neighbors who had animals as well. When I was done studying at the University, I eventually go my own place and I was very happy because I could finally have my own animals in my home. My home was always full of furry friends - from a Labrador to a bunny and a stubborn but adorable Siamese cat. When I got married to my husband and 5 years later we came to Chicago, his family has a lovely chihuahua and I spend lots of time with him. Not only I walk him but I take care of him as well. It is not only the experience I have with the animals after all these years but my special connection with them. When I walk outside and there is someone walking their dog, what usually happens is the dog jumping on me and wanting hugs and affection. Also, when I get introduced to someone who has animals, they are stunned on the way their furry companions are mesmerized by my presence. The truth is that I love any animal with all my heart and soul. This is why the ideal job for me is to work with animals. I can assure you that you will not regret it working with me. I have everything that a pet parent would want ; someone who will take care of their animals not because it is a job but because they truly care about them.
