Pet Sitter in Fayetteville, Arkansas

I'm an
Individual
**I am currently done with classes for the semester and my schedule is ENTIRELY open until the end of the day on May 29th, I am going to Texas May 30th and will return back to Arkansas around August 1st**** I have grown up with dogs my entire life, and for the last 5 years before moving to Arkansas for college, I ran a non-profit dog rescue with my parents in Texas. We were not a breed-specific rescue, so I worked with dogs ranging from fear-biting 3lb Chihuahuas to stranger-wary 100lb Irish Wolfhounds that would counter-surf for pizza. In 2014 alone, I cared for 850 dogs that entered our rescue and were adopted out into forever families. All of the dogs at our rescue were allowed to run in large play yards during most of the day in groups of 3-15, so I gained experience keeping dogs from misbehaving (you have no idea how much a slobbery squeaker toy means to some dogs, even old shoes can be a high-valued item) and have experience splitting up fights if one were ever to occur. I understand that dogs do not always act themselves around strangers as they do with their owners, and would not mind working with your dog if he or she is afraid of strangers, has mild aggression issues, or is overly-excited/ready to party all the time. I have 2 years of experience working at a vet clinic and am comfortable caring for any type of dog regardless of size, age, temperament, or with any disability. I was the main caretaker of the patients that were boarding or recovering from surgery/illness over the weekends while the clinic was closed, I cared for various species including dogs, cats, horses, cows, goats, rabbits, birds and tortoises. My mother and I also fostered horses for 3 years, and had our own little farm before starting our dog rescue. I can administer topical, oral, and subcutaneous medications (if your pet is recovering from surgery or is on daily prescribed medications) and can provide basic first aid (I keep a doggy first-aid kit in my car 24/7) If your dog is on a special diet that requires cooking, don't worry because I love to cook! I have years of experience cooking for my own dogs and for the shelter dogs that were picky eaters or had food allergies. One of my moms dogs had to be put on a raw diet because regular dog food makes her gain (a lot of) weight(-: I live in an apartment that has a medium/small ground-level concrete patio with plenty of grassy areas near by. I am walking distance from Dickson street and am a short drive from a few local parks. If you have any other questions you would like to ask me, feel free to send me a message!
