Pet Sitter in Southfield, Michigan

I am a senior lady who wants dogs in her life. I have bred and raised Golden Retrievers in earlier years, and love that breed along with collies, but I have affection for most dogs. My exceptions are for dogs that indicate aggressive behavior like pit bulls (or the reputation that they have). I have owned and loved German Shepherds. At my present age, I prefer smaller dogs. I have a third of an acre with the large back section entirely enclosed, and any dog that I board will have full run of the back yard. I love to play with dogs; things like fetch and carry and general "rough housing" with them. Although I am not a professional dog groomer, I do enjoy the physical contact with dogs while I comb and brush them. I have a lot of leisure time to spend with the animals. In my "other" life, I am a retired high school English teacher, and I now tutor English as a Second Language in a classroom in home, so I know how to talk to any breed of dog :). I simply enjoy their company.
