I am so excited to join this community and to begin caring for your beloved dogs. My experience section outlines why I would be a great choice for your dog sitting needs :) *I am (almost) 29 years old and enrolled at Lewis & Clark in a graduate program. This allows my schedule to be very flexible. I have 2 hour classes a few times a week, and am able to stop home between those classes. Otherwise, I'm able to do schoolwork full-time at home Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Plenty of time for doggy care! *I can pick up and drop off your dog at your home *I live in an extremely dog-friendly apartment complex *I worked at doggy day care for four years. I was a lead dog handler, groomer, and office manager. I provided activity, first aid, and comfort for dogs at our day care facility. *I worked at a humane society in Minnesota as a lead animal technician. I learned even more about dog behavior, dog care, and doggy first aid and training. *I volunteered in dog rescue from 2008 until 2014 when I moved to Oregon in September. I learned a lot about training, and fostered around 25 dogs during that period of time, both short and long term fosters. *My pug grew up with other dogs and is very well socialized and laid back *My cat thinks he's a dog, and is sweet and curious about new dogs. If your dog is uncomfortable with cats, it is possible for my cat to stay in a separate closed off area where he is perfectly comfortable. *I did a General Animal Care Internship at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah in 2010 where I spent a month working with all types of animals but mainly dogs. I have been back to the sanctuary 3 times to volunteer my time, most recently in August 2013. *Overall, I have a relaxed and comfortable home, with a fenced in dog park in the apartment complex, and plenty of room to take walks in the neighborhood. Overall, I LOVE DOGS! I am currently enrolled in an Animal Law LL.M. (masters of law) program at Lewis & Clark. Animal welfare is my passion, and I go above and beyond to make sure every dog I encounter and care for is comfortable and happy. Please consider me for your dog care needs! Independently from Rover....., I also currently provide in-your-home training and will be offering my professional grooming services out of my home beginning in mid-November. I will gladly sit the following sizes of dogs: Small (1-15 lbs) Medium (15-40 lbs) Large (40-100 lbs) Giant (100 lbs)
