My wife and I love four-legged companions and traveling, and have found caring for others' pets during their absences a great way to combine the two! For the past four years, we were able to be "auntie and uncle" for our neighbor's border collie during their extended travels, and this past year began combining housesitting and petsitting, which has introduced us to two beautiful larger breed dogs in Hawaii, and now two small breed puddles of love in Port Townsend, WA. In both instances, one or both of our wards has required regular medication, and of course, play time and walks, along with other special care and handling instructions requested by the owners. Our primary focus is to keep the transitions as seamless and as easy as possible for the pets and the owners -- we understand how important it is to maintain routines, rules and schedules during your absence, for everyone's sake!
