I'm an
Individual
I have had a husky, malamute, wolf, and german shepherd for the past 20 years. Or rather, they have owned me. I have also worked extensively with a local dog rescue organizations to foster dogs looking for their forever home and am currently a member of an overnight boarding organization, which I am truly loving the experience! Several years ago, I “fostered” my sick, neglected German Shepherd, and never gave him back. I recently lost him in April after a year fighting DM, and am still too heartbroken to get my next dog, but I miss the companionship, and would love for your dog to keep me company and let me spoil him/her. Although the dogs I have owned have been large, I also have experience with small dogs, so any breed works for me. I have fallen in love with each and every one of them! The pups are able to tell I am a dog lover, and it never takes long before even the most shy or off standish dog is cuddled up with me and following me everywhere. I can comfortably take 2 dogs at a time for overnight visits, but only from the same family. If I am watching your one dog, then your dog is the only one. During his visit, I make sure to send you photos and keep you updated, and you will see that your dog is comfortable, loved, and having as good a time as I am. An overnight stay will include at least 1 walk per day, and your dog will follow the rules you have set for him so that he doesn’t return home with bad habits. Your dog is welcome to curl up on my couch and sleep in my bed with me at night, or whatever your/his preference is. Although dog walks come free with the overnight visits, I am also interested in doing day time dog walking. I am experienced administering meds and taking care of dogs with special needs. After watching my Dieter slowly become paralyzed over the past year, I have a huge soft spot in my heart for any dog that needs that bit of extra love and attention. I do accounting, and work mainly from home, except for one day a week when I go into the office, which is only 3 miles away, so I can come home and let your dog out for potty breaks during lunch if he is here on a Wednesday. Additionally, I share the house with my uncle, so there is usually someone home. (My grandpa built the house and we want to keep it in the family, so my uncle mostly lives upstairs and I mostly live downstairs). Please feel free to contact me via phone, email, or text and ask any questions you may have. I encourage you to bring your dog over in advance of booking for a pre-stay meet and greet to give you a chance to observe our interaction and thus be able to leave your dog in my care feeling confident and comfortable that he is in good hands You can contact me directly, or through the following link, where you will see my profile, ratings, photos and fees. You may book through rover..... which I pay a fee to make sure your dog is insured, or you may contact me directly, but I still encourage you to review my full profile at this link. https://....com
