I'm an
Individual
Hello! My name is Logan, and I am more of a 'doggie enthusiast', that happens to be very good at walking dogs. I am offering Dog Walking Sessions in the Capitol Hill area (and close-by neighborhoods), for those of you who are interested in having your doggie taken care of when you are not available to. This service is only available during evenings, after 4:00PM. I have a full-time job, so I am not able to offer any sessions before this time. I am very experienced in walking and training dogs, and would love to share my experience with an owner and pet who can benefit from it. I prefer to only take on one dog per session (as opposed to walking multiple dogs at once). This way, I am able to focus my attention and concern with a single doggie, and make sure that their comfort and safety is my primary concern; and theirs alone. One of the hardest things to do is leave your doggie in the care of another, with the fear that they will not get everything they need to be happy and healthy. My aim is to build a trust between the three of us, to the point where you will no longer have to worry about leaving your doggie in the care of another. Keeping doggies happy in the absence of their owners is a very rewarding feeling for me, and I am very good at it! I am asking $15.00 for thirty-minute sessions, and $25.00 for hour-long sessions. I would be happy to offer weekly or monthly rates if our sessions become more of a regular thing, and I can negotiate rates on a case-by-case basis. A Dog Walking Session can be something as simple as a walk, to something as specific as a run in the park. I am willing to be open and discuss with the pet owner what they want their doggie to get out of a session, and I will do my best to deliver. I do have a few rules that you should know about before inquiring: - I only walk dogs when they are wearing a HARNESS. If you do not own one, I would be happy to provide one fit for the breed and size of your doggie. If you happen to own a harness, I will inspect the quality and brand to assure that it is fit for me to walk the doggie with, and use it with your permission. However, I only use my own leashes. No extendable leashes! - I do need to verify that the doggie has their proper rabies vaccination. This is the only vaccination that I require for walking your doggie. - I will only walk ONE doggie during a single session... unless a single pet owner has multiple dogs in one household, and the dogs are well behaved together when walking. My services guarantee that your doggie will be my primary and only concern during the time that I am watching them, and no one else's doggie! - I do ask to be given at least 48 hours notice before scheduling a dog walking session, and ask the same amount of time for a cancelation notice. I can try to be flexible with any last-minute requests, but cannot guarantee anything. I have plenty of references for doggie owners that I have worked with in the past, and can provide them upon request. If you are interested, the next step would be scheduling a meeting between myself, the pet owner and the doggie. We can then coordinate a schedule that works for us both, and figure out a system for me having access to walk the doggie. We can also go over any preferences that the owner has for the care of the doggie (parks, treats, etc.), and I can answer any other questions or concerns that you may have. Do not hesitate to ask me anything, and I will get right back to you. I am hoping to meet some great doggies, and help other ones that are misunderstood. I hope to hear from you!
