Pet Sitter in Manassas, Virginia

I'm an
Individual
Cat Sitter for Manassas, Centreville, Bristow and surrounding area. I started cat sitting over 25 years ago for an animal hospital I used to manage. Since moving on from there, I took some valuable time off to spend with my growing son (tho still caring for many of established clients). Now that my son is grown, I miss spending precious time with animals. I may not have modern social media for Sit,Cat,Stay as I am from an older generation but I assure you technology has nothing to do with my love and passion for animals. I also purposely keep this limited to my immediate area as I merely want to help as many neighbors that are in need of a mature, trusting care taker that treats every pet as my own. I take my job seriously and I am very passionate about providing incredible care, allowing for the owner to feel at ease while away. In addition to loving, I will take in the mail, water your plants and update you with pictures and details of how things are going. It is hard to present a qoute here as everyone's needs are different (once daily visits start at 20.00 for cats with a break for those who want twice daily. Dog walking also varies as to length of walk one is needing. I have boarded dogs at my home depending on certain criteria ( dogs breed, temperment and training) as I have a huge fenced in back yard and 3 level house. Wendy has been my cat sitter for 5 years now and asked me to give a reference which I am happy to do. Wendy's reliability is excellent. As with any cat sitter being reliable is important, but Wendy goes over and above. She checks in before I leave to confirm my travel plans and again before I return to see if I need to extend my trip. She's even given me a heads up on weather conditions if I'm driving. One of my cats is a picky, scaredy, problem child. He's afraid of everything and used to go on hunger strike whenever I went away. Wendy spent the first year very patiently and carefully befriending him. He went from hiding under the bed until she left to actually approaching her for a couple of ear scratches (if she sat still and didn’t move too fast). The last time Wendy stopped by when I was home, as soon as he realized who it was he ran right up to greet her. This means so much to me, that he can relax and not have such anxiety when I'm away, and to know that he's eating and behaving normally (well as normal as he gets anyway), and that Wendy has become a friend that he is happy to see. My other cat is a love bug, he gets on great with Wendy and he has from day one. One more thing, I interviewed several cat sitters and it's weird to think of giving someone keys to your house while you're away, especially after only meeting them once or twice. But with Wendy I totally trust her, no worries there whatsoever. The best reference I can give is, I referred her to a coworker, and so Wendy now watches her cats as well. I would not risk a work relationship if I wasn’t 100% confident in her reliability and trustworthiness. Let me know if there's anything else you want to know. Pam. Ziti & Figgy's mom.
