Pet Sitter in Washington, District of Columbia

Hello, I am a Northwest DC resident available for a variety of pet care services. I am currently The Human to two adorable and feisty rescue cats, but have also lived in a household with at least one dog for the past 20 years, so I am well-versed in basic pet care. I love dogs, but as I live in the city, providing a permanent home for a dog is difficult. So providing care for your dog (or any other pet) would be much of a treat for me as it would be for you and your pet(s)! Services I can provide include, but are not limited to, the following: Dog-walking Pet sitting Overnight pet-sitting in your home Cat care (feeding, grooming, litterbox maintenance, playtime, nail-trimming) In home boarding** Availability I have a full-time job with the Federal Government, but in general, I am available in the early mornings (5-7am) and evenings (6-10pm) during the week for check-ins, with flexible hours on the weekends. I also have every other Monday off and am generally available then as well. I can be available on holidays given enough advance notice. I have a car, so I can also provide transportation if required. **For in home boarding, I live in a spacious studio apartment in Tenleytown. My cats have been around laid back small dogs (Bichon Frise size) and are fine with them. They have also been exposed to larger breeds for short periods of time, and have not shown any aggression. I live in an area where there are tons of areas to walk, easy access to the Newark Street Dog park, and a short drive to Rock Creek Park for walks on the paths. There are plenty of exercise opportunities for your pup! Note: I am currently scheduled to take a Pet First Aid course with the Red Cross in late May. I am happy to provide visit updates and photos to keep you up to date on how your pet is doing, either by text or by email.
