I have grown up around animals, have always had a cat usually two. I presently own two beautiful dogs Bella a shepherd/greyhound, and Sadie shepherd/husky. The only time I have ever been paid for pet sitting was many years ago I took care of a family friends parrot. I do take care of my parents cat when their away..for free I have more than 80 hours of dog walking for the SPCA, and I get more than that with mine in two months. But I am great with all animals and insist on being introduced before I would agree to take any job
