Hi there! I have loved working with animals from a very young age and discovered my ambition is helping them in any way I can; that includes you as owners too! I am currently going through for my Bachelor\'s in Animal Science, but I have my diploma as a Veterinary Technician as well. I have my own \"furry kids\" as I like to call them - 2 Australian Shepherds, Rory and Riven, and a horse too! Being a Veterinary Technician, I have worked with many different types of pets, and have learned how to care, and facilitate their needs as much as possible. My best interest is keeping the furry kids (or scaly ones!) happy and healthy, whether it be helping with medications, out for a walk, or visiting to keep the loneliness at bay. I am very reasonable and negotiable, and often will try to accommodate and last minute requests as well. I am a veterinary technician that has worked in clinic; the duties that were required were animal nursing (fluid therapy, bandaging, cleaning and disinfecting kennels, treatments with medications, catheterization, blood sampling), surgical duties, anesthesia, and also client communications and seminars. I have worked in clinic with dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, ferrets, bearded dragons, geckos, frogs, crabs, and the list could continue. I have also worked in a kennel environment that consisted of daily feeding, cleaning and disinfecting, organizing playgroups and supervising, leashed and off leash walks, as well as some grooming experience too. Before all of those, I was volunteering with wildlife at a rehabilitation center and have also worked with our birds of prey, rabies vector species (foxes, squirrels, raccoons), and our lovely wild birds like sparrows and grackles. Working with these animals included feeding, cleaning and disinfecting cages/pens, medicating when necessary, and releasing back into the wild.
