Pet Sitter in Watervliet, New York

I'm an
Individual
I am a 23-year-old Environmental Engineering student at RPI graduating December 2016. I work part time as a babysitter and go to school full time. My schedule is wide open for pet sitting so please feel free to shoot a message my way! As a fellow pet lover I have personally owned and have experience with; cats, dogs, rats, mice, guinea pigs, hamsters, ferrets, turtles, fish, frogs, and rabbits. Due to restrictions in my apartment I only have one black kitty named Pru. Nearly every spring and fall I foster a set of kittens for the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society in Menands (it is a volunteer position, I don't get paid when I help the MHHSM). Typically the poor babies come in sick or without their mothers and require daily medication and bottle feeding. I have experience in administering oral medication, eye and ear drops, and special feeding needs. I also foster other animals that they don't have the time or resources for; the last animal I took care of for the Humane Society was a rabbit with an eye infection. She stayed at my house for 2 months where I applied eye drops daily, fed and cleaned the cage bi-weekly, and took her out to stretch and run around once or twice a day. Saying goodbye is always the hardest part but knowing they go back happy, healthy, and ready to be adopted makes all the time and effort worth it! I'm looking for a stable part-time experience and/or to fill one time only needs. I typically ask for $15/hour and to pet/house sit I charge per day. It all depends on the number, species, and difficulty level of the animal/s. I am more than willing to negotiate! :) If you need boarding services I am only able to care for small mammals, amphibians, and reptiles at my apartment (gerbils, hamsters, rabbits, ferrets, frogs, turtles, etc). I have a cat that ignores small animals but wouldn't do well with other cats or dogs. I would prefer not to put her in any uncomfortable situations (she's getting old, ~11 years). Thanks! A general idea of what I've been paid in the past: Longest house/pet sit: 1 week. Shortest: 3 hours Highest paid full day into next morning: $100/day (for 2 dogs 2 rabbits) [brought my own food, holiday] Least paid: $25/day (for 1 dog). [pet owner bought me food] ~~~~~~~~ UPDATE 5/1/2016: My summer schedule is completely free at this point! Going away on vacation but don't want to board your babies? I am more than willing to house/pet sit! I bring my own food and toiletries unless otherwise specified! UPDATE 11/1/15: I am booked in terms of pet sitting for the week of Thanksgiving but am still open to petsit for the holidays in December. Please don't hesitate to call! I am very understanding and flexible with my rates. I would prefer you call than leave your dog crated all day or your mini furbaby stuck in their cage with a mountain of food to last them a week (please don't do that :X) (Please continue to scroll for recommendations)

I've had Elizabeth dog/house sit for me multiple times. On a couple occasions she not only dog sat my dog but two others at the same time! She has the perfect demeanor for handling dogs, she exhibits a calm assertive attitude. She truly enjoys animals and cares for them in the best way. My dog is very particular and takes a bit to get used to someone, Elizabeth was more than willing to come over a couple times before the dog sitting event to get to know him. It was almost not needed since he warmed up to her quickly! She is a very responsible individual and I will not hesitate to have her dog/house sit again!

Elizabeth watched our little guy along with some friend's dogs for a weekend so we could all get away together (we are usually each other's sitters). She managed to keep the peace with three rambunctious dogs and ensure each got lots of love & attention. We even got photo updates when we were missing our furry kids! I would highly recommend her as a pet sitter and won't hesitate to use her again in the future.
