One of the most wonderful things in this world has to be the love of a dog. Their love(lots of licks), innocence(those big eyes),trust/respect(always there to comfort), smile (happy wagging tails),laughter(Woof!), playing (mischievously, with their favorite toys,sometimes a little too much play), innocence/curiosity(expression of wonder in their eyes). Make you feel It is my utmost desire to have a job with dogs as my customers. Bosses that let you know there happy by wagging their tails! Who could ask for more ? My experience with "Not only dogs" I suppose my love of dogs began with my parents. I assisted my mom in her business; breeding,raising,showing and selling basset hounds, for a percentage of course. As a teenager I would always have my best-friend "Britches". Yay!! a car ride! His big long ears flopping in the wind, drool running all over my windows, he really loved the bonfires.Friends talking, laughing, playing music, singing and "Britches" howling right along. The best basset in the entire world ! I was an assistant to a Springer Spaniel dog trainer. We attended shows all over the country. I worked 2 years for the US Forest Service, Range Research. My job was to raise(bottle fed,let them suck my ears,cleaned stalls and even slept in their stalls at night) I would train baby deer to walk on a leash. I would then take them walking in Kisatche National Forest to observe,log and analyze data on the deer eating habits.The objective was to determine if they were interfering with the cattle's grazing. I then worked as an assistant for a small rural Large Animal Vet; horses,cows, goats, pigs etc.even dogs. I was the receptionist, tech,and kennel assistant. I can even shoe a horse. I worked on a goat farm for 3 summers. It was great! One summer in Florida my daughter and I were bathing our 2 very large dogs (shepherd and a pit) in a tub outside and neighbors, even tourist from the mainland began setting appointments for the next weekend. Quite a lucrative business for my then 6th grade daughter. In retail I worked in a Horse and Feed Store" Farm Supply", dealing with some interesting characters and there animals,pets. I created displays, performed sales, did bookkeeping and prepared deposits. I am a workaholic of sorts. I put my all into my work and my life. I am totally dedicated,reliable. I am the first to arrive and the last to leave. I like to be well prepared,structured and organized, thus allowing time to add creativity, flexibility and enjoyment into my work. I enjoy physical activity/labor, staying functional/busy, accomplishing the task at hand. In teaching you build a positive rapport with those you work with, students and parents from quite diverse backgrounds. I apply this in all I do.
