•10 years experience caring for a paraplegic cat and expressing his bladder 2-3 times every single day. • 4 years experience working as a Veterinary Assistant at the local SPCA animal shelter. • 3 years experience working as the Animal Care Manager at the local SPCA animal shelter, with the responsibility for the safety, humane treatment and overall well-being of up to 150 felines, 60 canines and 15 staff at one time. •An ASPCA National Field Responder, who deploys to various destinations to provide shelter set-up and daily animal care support to victims of cruelty or disaster. I currently offer: -Overnight sitting at owners home: Includes feeding, playing, cleaning out the litter box or other pet messes, going for walks, and administering any necessary medications. I will also agree to do other household chores such as grab the mail or water the plants, upon request. -Drop-in visits: Visits to your home during the day to check on your pet. The visit may involve feeding, play time, cleaning out the litter box or other pet messes, and/or administering any necessary medications. -Daily walks: Visits to your home to give your dog(s) either a 30-minute or 60-minute walk. -Cat Care: Overnights and Drop-in visits are both available options. -Special care for puppies, kittens, seniors, or pets with medical conditions: I have experience administering oral, topical and subcutaneous medications, close monitoring of any medical concerns and providing excellent care and husbandry for all animals, as well as those with special needs. Seniors and special needs animals are my passion! I am also very patient and understanding of cats and dogs of a shyer nature, so if this is an “obstacle” you may face when searching for a caretaker, I can ensure you I am someone you can trust to take good care of your pet. It would be my pleasure to be able to build a relationship and trust with your special loved one! If your pup is an adventure seeker and would enjoy a little outing excursion, I can happily take them for outings like hikes or to a local swimming hole for some extra fun and exercise as well, upon request.
