I am looking to become a Pet Sitter. I have had dogs and a two cats for most of my life. When I moved to New Jersey in 2009 for my job and then to Pennsylvania in 2014 my landlords would not allow pets. Consequently, my 14 year old son and I had to leave our dog in South Carolina with my mother. Needless to say we don't see Winston nearly enough and we miss him terribly. I love animals and I know that they provide so much joy. Animals are not just pets, they are family and this is one of the first things I believe a pet sitter should understand and know. Finally, I believe that a pet sitter should not be in this profession just to earn a paycheck. A Pet Sitter should take care of all pets because this is what they love to do. An animal knows if their caregiver is genuine and caring.
