Pet Sitter in Murray, Kentucky

Hello! My name is Emmy and I'm an equine minor at Murray State University. I'm looking for a summer job in or around Murray, would be willing to travel up to an hour away, Mayfield, Hopkinsville, or even Clarksville area. I'm looking for a minimum wage job that could also be used as a reference for future jobs as well, ideally with anyone who owns horses or other farm animals.However, if it's primarily a pet sitter that you're looking for, then I am also interested. I live in an apartment in Murray with two dogs and two turtles but I would love to take care of your animals as well. If you're interested in an actual work prospect, other than petsitting, I am looking to help with riding/training/breaking young horses or exercising horses who need time spent in the saddle/ground training. I would also be willing to do other farm work such as feeding, mucking stalls, cleaning, and caring for animals. I grew up on a farm outside of Mayfield KY with horses, cows, chickens, sheep, cats and dogs of course, and I'm also great with reptiles. I've taken lessons riding horses since I was four, and I've ridden Western pleasure, barrel racing, English hunt seat and hunter jumper, as well as having taken lessons with Red Fox Paso Fino's for several months and having shown Rocky Mountain horses in southern IL for 2 years. Gaited horses really are my passion, but I have experience with many breeds, and my family has always owned horses. I've trained 5 of my own through a period of many years, and I'm currently a sophomore (will be a junior in the fall) riding for MSU's Hunt Team. I have several references with stables and horse shelters where I've worked, and I have experience managing life on the farm.
