ABOUT ME: Hello everybody!! I am looking to expand my experience, apply my expertise and most importantly share my love for animals! Description of Skills: I worked at a Vet Clinic as a Kennel Technician/Veterinary Assistant for many Summers at Azalea City Animal Hospital (Valdosta. GA) between school semesters to gain experience with animal handling that aligns with my major. I worked specifically in the boarding rooms and with the patients coming through our doors. My daily tasks included feeding, medicating, walking, and daily behavioral attention. I also bathed, expressed glands, and clipped nails of the boarders at the clinic! I maintained the kennel areas by cleaning and sanitizing making the clinic a sanitary area. I love animals of all kinds, which explains my major in Conservation Biology at Auburn University. Currently, I am in the D.C area interning for the Summer at the Smithsonian National Zoo with the Bird House Department. In this internship I am increasing my skill set and I am able to work with a new animal taxa at an amazing facility. This internship is Monday-Thursday and I will be available to take care of your pets around my internship schedule and on the weekends!
