Hi. My name is Sumi. I love caring for pets and am interested in caring for pets and house sitting in Santa Barbara, California. I lived in Carpinteria for 8yrs and so I'm very familiar with the area. I'm committed to excellence in the care of your pets and home and care for them as if they're my own. I've had animals my entire life and I love spending time with them. I trained horses professionally for 20 yrs. I'm also comfortable with giving meds as well as caring for older pets. While managing my own barn, I routinely gave vaccines or shots to the horses who needed them. I've also had a diabetic dog who requited daily testing and injections. Managing a barn and training horses requires you to always be aware of the horses and to notice if anything seems off. This is a great gauge on whether or not a horse is coming down with an illness or coming up lame. Being aware of animals' moods and bodies has become 2nd nature to me.
