I grew up in a household with dogs and cats and knew I wanted to work with animals when I grew up. After college I worked for 6.5 years at Animal Care and Control in Mecklenburg County. While I enjoyed the job, I knew I wanted to do something more hands-on and technical, so during my time at ACC I obtained my Associates in Veterinary Technology. I have worked in multiple small animal hospitals and spay & neuter clinics during my 8 years in the field and enjoyed every minute of it. In addition to jobs in the animal field I have volunteered with several groups working with wildlife and exotic animals. I have a very open schedule and am available typically 8am to 10pm 7 days a week. Since my schedule is very flexible it allows me to dedicate extra time to caring for your pets. I love working with both cats and dogs (we have over a dozen of our own) but definitely consider myself a cat person. With my flexible schedule I can drop in to scoop litter, provide food and water, and clean up any messes. In addition I have the time to stay for longer visits in order to bond with your pets through play or just letting them sit with me for petting, chin scratches, or other enrichment activities.
